ScaleVest Aluminum Scales
The ultimate addition to your collection - now in anodized aluminum colors.
This vest, and many other projects, can be made using our small leaf shaped scales connected by rings.

The aluminum scales are made from hard temper aluminum and can take some abuse. They are not, however, good for combat. They are 0.025" thick - which is 66% thicker than our steel scales
Please look in the non-aluminum scales category for the tutorial on how to assemble scales.

Scale Flower Kit - Small Anodized Aluminum

Flowers are about 1.75'' in size when complete.
Kit includes enough scales to make 20 small scale flowers in mixed colors using small anodized aluminum scales and 3 sizes of bright aluminum rings - there are enough left over rings to make a total of about 75 scale flowers! Or you can use them to play with other weaves - like European 4 in 1, byzantine and japanese weaves (amoung others)!
You can use the extra to make more flowers in the colors of your choosing by getting extra bags of small AA scales here.

Anodized Aluminum - Small Scale

Punched from anodized strip.
Leaf Shaped - 9/16" x 7/8". Thickness varies from 0.025'' to 0.03'' based on color. It doesn’t affect the appearance and you can mix a fatter with a thinner scale.
1/2 hard temper
Black scales are anodized on one side. All others are both sides. This does not affect the appearance once the scales are assembled. The sides of the scales are not anodized.
1000 scales per sq ft
* Due to the variance in count by weight for some colors vs others the mixed bag counts are approximately 100 per bag. You may get slightly more or less. The amount you get depends on the exact color mix you get. We do not guarantee 100 scales in the mixed bag.
