Rubber Rings
Rubber rings are great for giving your maille a bit of stretch and color. They are great for making jewelry without a clasp.
These rings are surprisingly light at only 1/6 the weight of steel or 1/2 the weight of aluminum.
 
EPDM is UV resistant and has excellent mechanical properties for use in chainmail.
The colors are consistant and have been special ordered to come as close as possible to matching our machine cut anodized aluminum colors. EPDM is typically used as a roofing membrane or as a non-toxic pond liner. It is latex free.
 
The EPDM and silicone both have a durometer (or strength rating) of 70 - this is fine for chainmail. The silicone rings have slightly less wear resistance than the EPDM.
