Placing
Your First Order
Placing an order
with The Ring Lord is easy. There's no need to create an account
first. You can always sign up as a new
user after you have gone through the shopping cart and selected
the items you want.
(If you place an order by phone, fax, or e-mail it will not appear
online and you will not have setup an account.)
Finding Items
First you will need to browse for the items you would like to
order by using our catalog
system. Our products
are categorized by type; for example rings, coils and wire. Some
categories are setup to simplify browsing for specific items.
For example all jewelry products, including rings found in the
ring category, can be found using the Jewelry Supply Category
Link. Keyword search boxes are located in the header of every
page. The Advanced Search feature is located in the header. It
allows you to compare items. For eg. if you want to compare the
cost of all 14 ga 3/8 rings in the various materials, this will
allow you to do this. In this particular case you would type 1438.
Every item in the catalog has information about the item, including
an availability estimate of how long it will take before
the item will be ready to leave our factory.
Adding Items to Your
Shopping Cart
You must enter a quantity
for the item you would like to purchase.
If you want to order an item, enter the amount you would like
to buy and click the "add?" check box.
The default quantity listed is the minimum amount of that product
you can buy. For example, most wire has a minimum of 1 lb. Every
product states the unit that you are buying in the product details.
Most rings are by the pound with a listing of how many rings are
in a pound. You can buy as little as the minimum amount listed
for any product. For example you can buy 0.1 lbs of anodized aluminum
rings in any one size or color.
You must hit the "Order Selected
Products" button at the bottom of every page
where you have selected an item. If
you want to order 2 different amounts of the same product a neat
trick is to enter the first quantity, check add,and click on "Order
Selected Products" then repeat with the second quantity.
This can also be done when you want to order more than one color
of titanium or enameled copper. If you
want to remove items from the cart your are given several options
to review your order.
- First you can view your cart by hitting
the "View Cart" button in the header.
- Second you can review your order in the
check out stage at any time
Once you've added an item
to your Shopping Cart, use the cart's navigation bar to keep searching
or browsing until your cart contains all of the items you want
to order. You can access the contents of your Shopping
Cart at any time by
clicking the View Cart icon at the top of every page, or by scrolling
down to the bottom of the page and looking at the summary of your
order listed there.
Proceed to Checkout
Take a moment to review
all of the items you've placed in your Shopping Cart. When you're
ready to place an order for everything in your cart, click the
"Checkout" button in the header or footer of any page.
You will be taken to the first page of the order form.
The instructions below outline
each step of our online order form. If at any point you encounter
difficulty or receive an error message, please consult our troubleshooting tips.
Signing In
Enter your e-mail address and fill in the address information.
(Keep in mind that the e-mail address you provide here will be
the only e-mail address to which we can send information about
the order.)
Enter a Shipping and
a Billing Address
Tell us where you would like to ship your order. If you are shipping
to a post office box, please use the Postal Service shipping methods
only.
If your billing address
is the same, DO NOT ENTER ANYTHING. Do not type "NA",
"Same" etc.
Select a Shipping Method
Consider how quickly you
would like to receive your order, and choose a shipping
method. You will be
asked shipping information twice. the first time you will select
UPS or Postal Service.

The second time you will
be asked which specific service you would like to use. The estimated
transit times are listed for each service.
At any time you can go back
using your browser and try another shipping method to see the
cost. The shipping charge for your order will be displayed on
the order summary page just before you submit your order.
Review and Submit Your
Order
Check the accuracy of all
of the information you provided and make any necessary adjustments.
When you are ready, click the Checkout Button again and you will
be asked for payment information.
Method of Payment
Let us know how you would like to pay for your order. We accept American
Express, Mastercard, Visa, gift certificates, a check or money
order. All payment must be in either US or Canadian funds. A link
is given at the end of the checkout process to help Canadian customers
determine the Canadian total. All orders must be prepaid. If
you're paying with a credit card, enter the number in our secure
system and we will charge it offline.
Once you have selected a
payment method, we will send you a confirmation e-mail message.
You will receive another e-mail message at the time of shipment
from UPS.
- If you do not want to check out the order,
but do want to keep the items in your cart for future use you
must save the cart.
- If you do not save
your cart the information will timeout after 20 minutes of inactivity.

- After you have submitted your order you
may wish to look at it or change it.
You can view your order by hitting the
"Customer Service" button in the header on any page.
You
then want to hit "Review Previous Orders". If you are
not logged in you may be asked to do so at this time. You will then see a list of the
orders you have placed along with their order numbers and order
dates. You can view any of these orders simply by selecting one.
If you have just submitted
an order (within minutes) and need to make a change you can submit
the changed order with a note to cancel the first one. This only
works if the first order shows that it has not been processed.
Your order will be marked processed
when we have synchronized our order database with shopping cart.
If you need to make a change to an order that shows it has been
processed you must contact us. Changes cannot be made through
the shopping cart after the order is processed.
- How to contact us: the
safest way to ensure your change gets added to your order is
to phone. (306-374-1335) You must do this if your order is rush.
- Alternately you can send
a high priority email with the subject "Order # Change"
where the number is your order number. We do our best with emails
but this does not guarantee the note will be noticed in time.
