Is the online credit card safe?
- Yes. We have taken every measure to ensure
the credit card information sent to us over our shopping cart
remains safe and secure. We have a security certificate, issued
by GeoCert - now a Verisign company. This security certificate can be viewed by clicking on the GeoCert Icon on any page. GeoCert also did study to
confirm our status as a company in good standing. There is a
certificate acknowledging this fact in the footer of every page.
- Our secure credit card system uses secure
socket layer technology (ssl). SSL technology encrypts information
from a customer PC to our web site. SSL is implemented using
what is known as digital certificates that bind an identity to
a pair of electronic keys that can be used to encrypt and sign
digital information.
- We do not store any credit card info. You are charging your card when you click the "continue" button on the payment screen. The card is charged and we do not store the number.
- We do not recommend sending credit card numbers by email.
- We charge all Canadians credit cards in CAD. The CAD total for your cart will be used as the amount.
- We charge all customers outside of Canada in USD. Americans will not get a currency conversion fee as they are charged from a US bank in US funds.
