Current Product Shortages

Explanation
For the last 8 months we have been running at 75% max production due to the following issues:
- Our punch and ring machines have been waiting for simple replacement parts that used to take days to receive now take weeks.  Even worse, we are still waiting on 4 servo motor replacements that used to take weeks now seem to take many months.
- Our lead Machinist and Punch operator had to reduce his hours by 75% for the past four months.
- To keep in line with our quality standards, we had to reject various shipments of raw strip, therefore adding months of additional delays.  We have used the same supplier the last 10 years with no previous problems.

 

Progress
- Our lead Machinist and Punch operator will be returning to full time work in early September.
- We have hired a new punch operator starting in late August.
- Two of the four Punch/Ring Machine motors needed are scheduled for delivery late August.
- Out of spec issues with the raw material for scales seemed to be solved.
- We now have an Out of Stock ETA’s web page (Out of Stock ETAs (theringlord.com))  so information is more easily available to our customers. This will also us to show improvement in our elimination of Out of Stock products as we move back to full production.
