KIT-Scale Beginner Scale Kits
Each kit has enough rings and small scales to make ~1/2 a square foot of the standard overlapped scale pattern in 1 color and material
The kits include 2000 machine cut 18g 3/16" rings and 500 small scales. All aluminum scale kits come with bright aluminum rings - all others come with stainless rings.
Instructions are NOT included with the kit – you can buy them separately in the PDF area of our site. or you can watch videos on our scales page.
If you want to add inlayed patterns to the bra top you need to buy other scales separately from here.
You can also buy all of the scales separately on that page and the rings on this page.

Scale Flower Kits - Single Layer Flowers
Small Flowers are ~1.75'' in size. Large are ~3''
Kits include enough scales to make approx. 20 scale flowers in colors as noted. These kits use our anodized aluminum scales and 3 sizes of shiny saw cut anodized aluminum rings.
You will have left over rings to play with! For the small flowers there are enough left over rings to make a total of about 36 scale flowers! - so if you buy more scales separately you can make more flowers. For the large you would need to also buy more 16g 3/8'' rings.
You can also use the extras to play with other weaves - like European 4 in 1, byzantine and japanese weaves (amoung others)!
Instructions are NOT included with the kit – you must buy them separately in the PDF area of our site.
Small flowers use 18g 1/4'', 18g 3/16'' and 19g 9/64''. The small kits also include 16g 1/4'' - these rings are to be used when the flower is too loose. You can replace the 18g 1/4'' on the back with these to make it cup.
Large flowers use 16g 3/8'', 18g 1/4'' and 19g 9/64''.
You can see there is cross over in the sizes used to allow you to play!

Our small anodized aluminum scales with a Celtic Triquetra symbol laser etched on the concave side of the scale. These scales are perfect for scale flowers. They can also be used in jewelry. Each package contains 10 scales - enough for 2 flowers.

KIT-CandleScale Lotus Flower Scale Candle Skirt Kit
Mike Stevenson (Borealis Metal Works) originally designed this candle skirt and has given permission to share it with the chainmail community.
These kits make a scale candle skirt that can be displayed in a Sunflower mode (relaxed) or Lotus Flower mode (forced). They are about are about 3.5” as a Sunflower and about 2.5” as a Lotus.
This kit includes enough stainless steel rings to make 6 flowers, but only enough scales for 2 flowers. The kits include anodized aluminum scales unless noted otherwise. You can use the extra to make more flowers in the colors of your choosing by getting extra bags of small scales here.

Each kit has enough rings and small scales for a D cup fitted bra or halter. (0.7 sq ft)
The kits include 2000 machine cut bright aluminum 18g 7/32'' rings and 700 small anodized aluminum scales in 1 color. Kit also includes a package of ribbon and 2 strong stainless clasps to help with making straps. This ring size is specific to our bra top pattern to accommodate fitting.
Instructions are NOT included with the kit – you can buy them separately in the PDF area of our site.

If you want to add inlayed patterns to the bra top you need to buy other scales separately from here.
