High carbon steel alloy 1062 (UNLESS NOTED)- this wire is twice the strength of our old mild steel (which were strong as well !)
Wire is 200-250ksi compared to 90-100ksi for Mild Steel
Wire and rings can be heat treated to 300+ksi after making items if you know what you are doing.
