Punched from 1/2 hard temper anodized strip (anodized the same both sides unless noted). The sides of the scales are not anodized. Size: 1.2'' x 1.9'' with 0.5'' hole (30.5mm x 48.3mm,12.7mm hole).
These shield shaped scales are a rivet-style or sewing-style scale. They can be attached to a leather or cloth backing using rivets, thread or wire.
You can vary the amount of overlap for these scales as desired. A general guide is that the tip of the scale in the 1st row is very near the top of the 3rd row. Using this layout you will need ~110 scales per square foot.
These scales were originally commissioned from TheRingLord as a custom shape for the movie Seveth Son.
