Anodizing niobium creates an oxide layer. The thickness of this layer creates the color.
Colors will vary from batch to batch, so expect variation and blended colors on individual wire and in batches of rings. Example: peacock blue can have blue with hints of violets. Always expect hints of adjacent colors to appear.
For wire: the color is a surface layer and is affected by bending after anodizing. Bending into rings can cause changes in the anodized layer like thinning, fading and color change. We suggest purchasing our pre-made rings instead of bending anodized wire into rings. You can buy nocolor and anodize them yourself.
