The issues with the clearance batch include: uneven anodizing, and slightly out-of-spec holes.
These are anodized after they are punched so the edges are anodized! They represent the ideal blend of glossy and matte finishes within a single scale.

Ring size for standard overlapping scalemail pattern: 18g SWG 3/16" ID
Scales per square foot: approximately 1000
You will need 2 rings per scale; more if you are stabilizing the edges.
