Oriental 12-2 weave for beginners. Oriental 12-2 weave is a doubled version of Oriental 6-1 where each of the large flat rings and each smaller rings (connectors) is doubled. Oriental 6 in 1 has a basic unit that consists of 6 outside rings and one center ring as shown on the right. Oriental weaves are also called Japanese. So Japanese 6-1 is the same as Oriental 6-1.
If you double the flat rings and the connectors it is Oriental 12-2.
