This is a 2'' longer version of the Knipex Cobolt Cutter we have been using for decades. The BEST and most popular cutter to use for hand cutting rings made from harder materials. Recommended Ring/Wire Size: Any ID of ring in 16g or thicker (0.063" = 1.6mm = 16 SWG = 14AWG) ID's larger than 3/16" ID only in 18g (0.048" = 1.2mm = 18SWG = 16AWG)Tip becomes too large for smaller sizes and is inappropriate for thinner materials.Great for hard wire - Not recommended for precious metalsMade in Germany
